This exercise consists of two Yuma, Arizona land descriptions from the Arizona Department of Revenue. The objective is to translate information from the land descriptions to entities in the Cadastral Data Content Standard. (Note: This exercise assumes you have sufficient experience to understand and interpret the land descriptions below.)
The purpose of this exercise is to give you practice translating cadastral data to the Cadastral Data Content Standard. This practice will prepare you for translating your own cadastral data to the standard.
These examples are provided courtesy of Theresa Ely of the Bureau of Land Management, and Jennifer Albers of the City of Yuma Arizona Department of Community Development Planning and Neighborhood Services office.

Assumptions: 10 is Township 10S, 23 is Range 23W, Principal Meridian is Gila and Salt River Meridian.
Use the information in the land description and assumptions above to assign values to entities and attributes in the Cadastral Data Content Standard. Refer to the entity relationship diagram to get a view of the entities in the Standard, and look at the Directory of Entities and Attributes for definitions of entities and attributes.
Note that Land Description #1 contains information applicable to only six of the entities in the Standard.
