The presentational drawing below is a small portion of a Wisconsin statewide map. The statewide map, much too large to be shown here, may now be used by many agencies in Wisconsin, and is a standard map for many to work with, eliminating the need for further duplication of data, while enhancing the ability of state agencies to compare data based on a common framework. Ongoing work at Wisconsin's DNR includes digitizing non-aliquot part ownership, getting shapes for landnet and cadastral information, and forming an interagency group for the creation of an integrated layer for all public land ownership.
