The purpose of this exercise is to give you practice translating cadastral data to the Cadastral Data Content Standard. This entails matching actual cadastral data, such as parcel number or area, with entities and attributes in the Standard. This practice will prepare you for translating your own cadastral data to the standard.
Look at the Columbia County, Wisconsin parcel layer information listed in the lefthand column of the table below. Compare what you see below with entities in the Cadastral Data Content Standard Entity-Relationship Diagram. For each item listed below, find the corresponding entity in the Cadastral Data Content Standard logical model.
For example, the first item in the table below is "10RD OR 10RW", indicating "Road right of ways". Your task, then, is to look through the Cadastral Data Content Standard entity relationship diagram to see if there are any entities or attributes in the Standard which correspond with information about "Road right of ways".
To do this you may also need to refer to the Directory of Entities and Attributes to find definitions for the entities shown in the entity-relationship diagram.
(Note: not all items listed below correlate with the logical model.)
