The Adams County, Illinois, GIS 2002 Project is a ten year, multi-participant project designed to develop an accurately and continually updated geographic information system of planimetric, topographical and cadastral base data for Adams County, Illinois. The proposed cooperative project focuses on the development of a comprehensive one-square mile 'mini-GIS' pilot area to test the utility of all applicable Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)-endorsed standards and the concepts embodied in Geospatial Data Framework. Collaborating organizations include Illinois Department of Energy and Natural Resources, U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service - Illinois Office, City of Quincy Illinois, Central Illinois Public Service, Ameritech, Continental Cablevision, Adams Electrical Co-op, and Adams Telephone Co-op.

2002 Project cadastral data layers, models, and attributes are not presently
available, but we hope to be able to display some of their work at a later
time, as the Adams County project currently represents one of the most
complete implementations of the Cadastral Data Content Standard.
