The table above illustrates that:
-
The Cadastral Data Content Standard offers a significant
range of definitions and terminology which may be used for data commonly
used by cadastral information professionals.
-
There are likely to be some attributes in the Standard which
your data does not cover. For example, the Dane County parcel
information search did not reveal any information pertaining to the Cadastral
Standard entity known as Restriction.
-
Likewise, there are likely to be elements in your data which
have no correspondence to the Standard. For example, the Dane County
parcel information includes such information as Tax District, School District,
and Assessment Type, which are not attributes in the Cadastral Standard.
-
If Dane County, and neighboring Iowa, Green, Columbia and
Sauk counties choose to make use of the Standard, then these counties could
potentially make use of a number of the Cadastral Standard's attributes
to link their data --- which would be especially useful when searching
for, linking, and mapping ownership and rights information along county
boundaries.
