• Select the parcel area in a coverage and design the coverage to depict the parcel and its immediately surrounding area.  Annotate the coverage with pertinent attributes identifying parcel, owner, and adjacent features such as roads, and property.
• Identify and display the Parcel Number, Property Code, and Land Description.
• Display parcel acreage.
• Display legal description.
• Identify current attributes, such as owner, and make any attribute changes related to the sale, such as new owner, and transaction date.
• If the parcel is to be altered, subdivided, or aggregated with another parcel, edit the GIS coverage to depict the new extent of the parcel.  Split, aggregate or merge polygons.
• Obtain coordinates (e.g. using GPS) for power transmission line easement, and public utilities, flood control, and ingress and egress to adjacent lands.  Add the easement data to the GIS data set.
• Design the GIS coverage to display mineral leases and rights of way.
